Certified engineer Uwe Lindner founds the company LinTech GmbH. Previously, he was the general manager at Loewe ISCOM GmbH and AVS GmbH.
1996
Market launch of the ELKA family of ISDN cards for PCs. These offer interesting applicational uses and are also characterised by a well-balanced price-performance ratio. ELKA attracts many users in the pharmaceuticals industry, who are interested in establishing data communications using the MSV2 protocol between pharmacy outlets and wholesalers, and also in the transport industry, for interconnecting the operating centres of the national railway operator, Deutsche Bahn.
1998
Development and integration of ISDN and GSM protocol software in existing systems. First cooperation agreements with various manufacturers.
Nokia, Ericsson, IBM, Intel and Toshiba set up the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). Before the end of the year, LinTech has also joined the Bluetooth SIG, the first German SME company to do so.
2000
LinTech presents its first Bluetooth solutions at the CeBIT in Hanover: the Bluetooth S0 Connector Lic10/10+ (a wireless link to an ISDN connection) and the Bluetooth Serial Connector Lsc10/10+ (a wireless link to a serial interface).
2003
Presentation of the first Bluetooth in-car adapter designed to allow the retrofitting of hands-free systems with Bluetooth connectivity. It is followed by models with an integrated display, DSP and other convenience features, as well as standalone Bluetooth hands-free systems.
Market launch of the first Bluetooth serial adapter and industrial adapter designed for use with the RS-232 interface, which can be easily integrated into existing systems. LinTech's profile as a Bluetooth development partner for industry is raised still further.
2004
The second generation of Bluetooth industrial adapters integrates a number of BT application profiles, and also comes with certification, which means that industrial users can add Bluetooth functionality to their products far more simply and at considerably less expense.
Launch of the world's first car Bluetooth adapter with a SIM access profile and integrated GSM module, which is able to set up a telephone connection via the car's outside antenna, even when the mobile phone is switched off.
2005
Development and certification of an entire product line of Bluetooth serial adapters and industrial adapters in accordance with Bluetooth Standard 2.0.
Development of the first universal Bluetooth module, the LinTech 'Blue IM_XT', which directly accesses the UART interface of a device or system. This makes it a simple matter to include Bluetooth connectivity in a wide variety of devices.
2006
Presentation of the first Bluetooth hands-free systems with an integrated display, including the display of phone information and menu control. Launch of an adapter family for connecting Bluetooth hands-free adapters to a motor vehicle's loudspeakers or sound system. Launch of a company shop system for LinTech products in the Internet and via Ebay.
2007
Presentation of the first universal Bluetooth interface for use with various internal bus systems (CAN, MOST, LIN) in motor vehicles.
Extension of LinTech shop system to include Amazon and launch of a configuration programme for dealers and customers to assist in locating the right solution for any vehicle.
Presentation of the first Bluetooth Hi-fi interface for transmitting music data in stereo from a mobile phone or PC to a sound system in the car or at home.
2008
Launch of BlueMPI 3.0 for the simplified integration of Bluetooth into embedded systems. BlueMPI stands for Bluetooth® Multiprofile Interface - an innovative software for Bluetooth® chips and host controller systems.
Presentation and market launch of the world's smallest Bluetooth hands-free system, whose tiny 'electronics box' takes up a minimum amount of space when mounted in a vehicle interior.
